So you’re dieting and exercising, you’re doing cardio, and your attempting to reduce your body fat. Could protein bars be the reason why you aren’t seeing the results you want? Aaron Marino of alpha m. says that many people who are trying to progress with diet are relying on protein bars for supplementation.
The problem with some protein bars is the calories. The protein bar doesn’t have much calorie difference than a Snickers bar. Alpha compares the Snickers bar (250 calories) to the OhYeah! bar (360 calories). The difference is the 25 grams of protein although the sugar content is basically the same! You can’t expect to lose weight.
Alpha’s favorite protein bar is Victory (200 calories) with 6 grams of fat, 28 carbs with 20 grams of fiber, and 21 grams of protein. It’s a better and more sensible option. Another alternative is Quest but the taste and consistency is not as good as Victory.
