The Paleo Diet
If you are into fitness, exercise, clean eating, or a healthy lifestyle, you have heard about the Paleo Diet because people who ‘go Paleo’ can’t help but talking about it all the time. Aaron Marino of alpha m. talks about the Paleo Diet trend.
The Paleo diet was started back in 1970 by gastroenterologist Walter L. Voegtlin. The basic premise is veggies, fruit, meat, nuts, and seeds and that you will be healthier by removing refined sugar, bread, beans, and more. Since 1970, it’s come in and out of style with different names and variations. Regardless of it’s name, it’s simple, basic, and clean.
It’s different than Atkins due to saturated fat and diary in the Atkins plan. Also, Paleo tells you to get your carbs from fruit which Atkins does not. Paleo dieters see amazing results which Alpha discusses. He adds that the diet is clean and makes sense that results are positive.
Does Alpha ‘do Paleo’? No, but kinda yeah. He eats clean, likes nuts, meats, veggies, and fruits. But he does have cheeseburgers, pizza, and ice cream. Alpha believes in a balanced diet which doesn’t include deprivation. You have to be responsible.
If you drank the Paleo Kool-Aide, you probably think this video is crap. However, for any of you that are told that this-or-that is the ONLY right way, whether religion, diet, politics, nutrition, be careful! Bottom line if you are getting in better shape, do it but easy on the preaching.
