Are your grooming products vegan, organic, or natural? Does it matter? In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro is discussing this information, giving a rant, and giving the reality. Alpha is sick and tired of seeing skincare companies not telling the whole truth.
The Information
Organic products means that all ingredients have been grown without pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or GMOs. Unlike food, there’s no governing body regulating them. Vegan products don’t contain any ingredients derived from an animal, including bees wax. Last, natural products come from the land or the sea. Botanical means plants. The trouble is that some of products that claim they’re natural but are only part natural, and there’s no agency that regulates the claims.
The Rant
Pretty much every grooming product can claim to be somewhat natural. Some companies are taking this to the extreme. Alpha discusses how some products claim to be natural and are labeled all natural but aren’t fully. A brand can claim natural ingredients even though it only has one natural ingredient. Why? Because there’s no agency checking.
The Reality
Do you want your products to be natural or to work? Alpha gives an example of natural deodorants. From his experience, natural deodorants don’t work. The advances in lipid technology and what makes skincare effective is ‘ridiculous’, according to Alpha. Bulldog states ‘with natural ingredients’ even though it’s not a natural product. Also ‘fragrance free’ doesn’t mean the product doesn’t have a fragrance. Unscented means there’s no scent detectable.
