Many men have difficulty admitting when something is happening with their health or body and going to the doctor. We can fix a lot that is going wrong if it’s caught early, but the key is not to stick your head in the sand.
Our bodies give us warning signs they shouldn’t ignore, but you must go to your doctor and get a physical yearly to know your numbers and get benchmarks. If you don’t have a history, it’s hard to determine if some things are out of whack or have escalated. Here are some of the warning signs:
Warning signs your body’s out of whack
- Body fat over 20%. If your body fat is over 20%, you’re not in good shape, and as your body fat climbs, your risk for diseases will climb.
- Unable to run a mile. If you feel like you’ll pass out or huff-and-puff when running a mile or you can’t run a mile, you must get into better shape for your heart and lungs.
- Being constantly tired. I’m not talking about when you didn’t sleep enough the night before and are sluggish. I’m talking about being generally tired and not having energy. This is a sign that something is not right.
- Difficulty sleeping. If you’re not sleeping 7 to 8 hours at night, there’s a problem.
- Eye discolorations. You may have liver issues or allergies if your eyes are yellow or red or have dark circles. You could also have high blood pressure.
- Inflamed or bleeding gums. You need to get that checked out. Also, if your breath is bad. Bad breath could be a sign of something more serious.
- Reflux. Heartburn is not normal.
- Abnormal nails. If your nails are pitted, cracked, brittle, thick, yellow, or discolored, you may have a deficiency that needs attention. Also, if you have fungus, it needs to be excommunicated.
- Hair fall. This needs to be addressed because you could have testosterone or vitamin issues. You can do something about it through Bosley Rx.
- Big Al issues. (a) If you can’t get it hard or if it’s just so soft, something’s wrong. Also, if you’re not interested, that’s an issue. (b) When you shoot, the volume being low could indicate something is wrong. (c) If your balls have gotten smaller or don’t feel as thick, this could be a sign of testosterone dropping.
- Weight changes. If you’re gaining body fat, this is a sign that something’s going on. Also, if you’re losing weight, this is also a sign that something is not right.
- Digestive tract issues. (a) Gas, bloating, and belching are not normal. This could be a sign gut health is off. (b) Not dropping regularly or having liquidy, bloody, or black deuces is not normal.
