I love how grooming can transform an average-looking man into a sexy stallion. You can take a guy who’s not super great looking, who doesn’t have great brain structure or even a weak draw, and throw on a good hairstyle and straighten out his skin, grow a beard, and turn that guy into a talking sex-machine. On the flip side, some grooming can actually make you look old. I want to cover some of those mistakes today.
- Neglecting nose and ear hair. Nothing makes men look older than nasty nose hair and ear hair. It’s gross! As men age, hair will grow in places that it didn’t. As a little groomed man, ensure those hairs are mitigated and eliminated.
- Crazy eyebrows. Ensure you have two eyebrows and that the hairs are not long. As you age, eyebrow hair starts to get long, so you must trim them.
- Hairy balls & big man bush. As you get a bit older, you need to change your manscaping regimen. You don’t want big hairy ball sacks. You also don’t want an out-of-control man bush because your weiner will look itty bitty. Trim the bushes and shave the balls.
- Unmanaged chest and shoulders. Manage chest and shoulder hair, especially if it creeps out of your shirt or crawls up the back of your neck. Remember that you don’t need to go bald, but manage it properly.
- Losing hair. Going bald or losing hair will make you look older. If you don’t want to, go to Bosley, where they have options such as pills, transplants, and other solutions. If you want to embrace it, shave it off and grow a beard. Add some cool glasses and have amazing skin.
- Not taking care of your skin. Many men wait to start a skincare routine until they’re older. This is a mistake. You’ll age amazingly well if you start young, around 16 years old. Tiege Hanley, used daily, will help you have incredible skin. The Level One set has everything you need to start, including face wash twice daily, AM moisturizer with SPF, PM moisturizer, and exfoliator twice a week. The sooner you start, the better.
- Neglected nails. You need to ensure your nails, whether your hands or feet, are taken care of.
- Gray hair. You can look older with gray hair, but you can also look sexy and mature. You can combine gray hair with good facial skin, groomed eyebrows, and nice eyes, and you have a sexy package. If you opt to dye your hair, don’t use an unnatural shade of chestnut or super jet black. This will make you look older. Many men think that when they start going gray, they simply need just to dye their hair. Getting rid of man boobs and having amazing skin are more significant steps. If you’re going to dye your hair, make sure it looks natural. And remember that one single gray hair does not make you look old.
- Discolored teeth. If you have yellow, discolored, or dingy teeth, this can age you. Make sure your teeth are white. You can go to the grocery store, get Crest strips, and wear them once a week for about 20 minutes to have noticeably whiter teeth. If you have broken teeth or ones that are cracked and crusty, go to the dentist and/or orthodontist. You can get veneers or other dental procedures to have a better smile.
- Bags and circles. Neglecting your eyes can make you look older. Use an eye cream around the orbital socket twice daily to help fight crow’s feet, puffiness, and dark circles. It’s an incredible tool for looking younger. Don’t forget to take care of your neck skin, too. Protect it.
- Too much fragrance. Everybody knows that old dude that’s bathing in cologne and stinks. It’s repulsive and makes you want to run away. Also, do not rock a fragrance you’ve used for 30 years. Upgrade it.
- Outdated facial hair. Solo goatees are not super sexy. Choppy sideburns are not current, either. Not having any sideburns is also not appropriate. You need sideburns to help frame your face and finish your hairstyle. If you have a huge beard, this also makes you look older. If it’s unkept, you will also look older. Do not have your mouth covered by a mustache. Make sure your facial hair is well-groomed to look sexy and amazing.
