I got a new car! I did love the mom car — still do. It was the best car I ever had, but something changed. I thought it was time to truly embrace who I am and the type of car that I deserve. I don’t have the best track record with cars. My 1st car that I absolutely loved was my Infiniti G35 07. I drove it for 9-years until I upgraded to the BMW M4, which had amazing power and sexiness. But, I ended up not loving it because it was really stiff and tough.
Sedan type of dude
I came to realize that I am not as much a sports car person as a sedan type of dude. So, after my lease was up, I bought the most beautiful sports car sedan, the M-850i. It has a really expensive sticker price ($125K), and I felt like I was wasting money. They bought it back and let me out of my lease, which is when I got the mom car. I loved it, but my wife’s lease was expiring. So, I gave her the BMW, bought my parents a Subaru, and got myself a different car.
Sentimental and symbolic
I got the Infiniti G35 07 — yes, this is literally my old car. It has 180K miles, and it’s an old car. It runs and still looks fine, but it has some wear and tear. Check out my tour of the car. Overall, it’s not that bad, and I am enjoying this car again. I didn’t realize how much a nice car boosts your confidence, and driving this old car is different from driving a luxury car. This car was the first ‘big boy’ purchase after my bankruptcy, so it’s sentimental and symbolic. It’s now back in my life. When I am done with it, I am going to give it away to one of you guys. Stay tuned!
