Everybody wants respect, but not everyone is willing to what they need to do to get it. Respect is earned through your actions daily. In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM https://iamalpham.com/ AaronMarino https://aaronmarino.com/ Pete & Pedro https://peteandpedro.com/ Tiege Hanley https://www.tiege.com/and ENEMY https://enemy.com/ says the world needs more leaders than followers — so speak specifically in order to command respect from anyone.
Alpha has been thinking a lot about leadership recently – and what it means to be a leader. He encourages viewers to listen to “Extreme Ownership: How US Navy Seals Lead & Win” by Jocko Willink. Having clear objectives, trust in each other, and effective teamwork are key components of being a great leader.
Demand respect from other people
1. “I won’t let you down.” — it’s all about being a man of your word who’s honorable and has integrity & character. It’s powerful.
2. “You’re not allowed to speak/talk/treat me that way.” — you stand up for yourself.
3. “I believe in you.” — it’s about lifting other people up and encouraging others.
4. “I did my best.” — you may not have won but you tried and applied yourself. Giving it all you had is admirable.
5. “I hear what you’re saying, but I am going to respectfully disagree.” — it acknowledges that you heard what they said and then you can speak your mind.
6. “No” — the word ‘no’ is a powerhouse and can be hard to say. Learn to say ‘no’ and take care of yourself (unless it’s something you HAVE to do).
