Does being an introvert being you’re shy and don’t like to be around people? No, it means you get recharged being by yourself. Alpha considers himself an introvert with extroverted tendencies. In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro says he gets uncomfortable at times if he’s socially out too much and talks to too many people. But he knows it’s important for introverts to strike a balance or else they’ll miss out on great relationships and opportunities.
How to Be More Outgoing
1. Stop self-isolating — accept invitations (and have an escape plan to leave)
2. Spend more time with extroverted friends — they will help you draw out of your shell
3. Read or listen to Mark Manson’s book, “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counter-intuitive Approach to Living a Good Life.” This book rocked Alpha’s world by discussing how problems & adversity add meaning to your life. It changed the way he looked at life.
4. Ask the people you’re talking to about them when in casual conversations — ask what they do for work, what they do for fun, what their passion is
5. Don’t run from the nervousness — Alpha doesn’t do things at times because he feels like he won’t have things to talk about, that he’ll be bored, and that he’ll hate it. He embraces the nervousness and practices to try to be social.
6. Accept that it’s okay that you need to be alone sometimes to recharge your batteries — you don’t always have to be engaged. Unplug and be away from the noise. It’s okay to introverted.
