Protein Powder versus Meal Replacement
Alpha states that the protein powder gives you a quick spike for after exercise. Protein powder has about 100 calories for scoop with 20 -25 grams of protein with low carbs. The meal replacement is higher in calories (200 – 300 per scoop). It replaces a meal and has carbs in addition to the protein.
Different Types of Protein
Back in the day, the protein sources were whey (dairy) and soy (soy beans). But there are new protein sources out there such as hemp and beef. Alpha uses whey which is most absorbable.
